Description

This is a kenzan used in the Sogetsu school of flower arrangement, and is called “Nichigetsu no Kenzan.
The round side represents the sun and the crescent moon.
The moon can be turned inside out and used as a weight.
The three basic stems, the “soe” and the “hikae” are attached to the round sun-shaped kenzan in a triangular shape. The moon serves as both a weight and a safe place to place one’s hand and apply force when removing material.
The brass needle is easily bent, but it gives a soft impression when arranging plants.
